When social media influencer’s mention McDonald’s in a tweet, ig post/stories we our faced with an exciting opportunity for our consumers. We hope to go viral, but we begin a relationship with a potential sponsor that reaches millions of GenZs.

As the contract Senior Art Director for McDonald’s Social Media at Golin, I was responsible for not only managing the creative talent team, but building relationships with manufacturers, brainstorming creative deliverables at lightening speeds, making sure the one-off were expertly produced and clever responses matched Mickey Dee’s online persona.

After the products were manufactured and sent out it became a waiting game to see if the influencer’s would in-turn engage the client. Here are some of my proudest successes.

Everyone knows where they were that iconic day they snagged the last Tickle-Me-Elmo because shopping Walmart’s Black Friday Sale is as American as apple pie. In recent years, Walmart has re-invented Black Friday as a week long bonanza both online and in-stores

As the contract Art Director at Golin for Walmart’s 2021 Deals for Days Sale I was responsible for creating light-hearted posts for IG, Facebook, and Twitter (X). Walmart’s social executive loved the work and increased the Golin’s budget to create social ads for their annual EOY sale. And guess who got to create those ads?

As the contract Art Director at Golin for Walmart’s 2021 End of Year Clearance Sale, I created a campaign and then designed the ideation. The ads were running after Christmas and into the New Year. I wanted to play off that feeling we all have during that time period when everyone is off school and work and driving each other mad in pajamas and no one knows what time it is and you can’t wait to go back to school but hellllp wre ina holiday maliase time continuum.
