about the smell and thickness of paper?
That stuff still matters.”

Yes We’re Open (YWO) began as a small start up advertising agency. With my expertise they won a large client which moved their principal business to open a physical office in Madrid, Spain. This was a unique working environment because the Chief Creative Officer was in Argentina, I worked in Chicago, and the CEO was in Atlanta, Georgia.

Scenic River Cruises was in desperate need of a rebranding. They were after a upper echelon boomer. I worked directly with the CCO by designing elegant print ads for publications such as Travel Weekly, Agent Times, and Conde Traveler.

Deliverable: One-of-a-kind whacky-themed posters hung up around Chicago and posted on various social media channels.

Engagement: A biweekly packed house at The Hideout Inn.

Fictlicious is an event for Chicago’s writers and musicians that took place at The Hideout Inn. Like The Moth the shows centered around a chosen theme. Fictlicious themed posters such as love, just deserts, super powers, were some of my most fun contract work to date. I loved being a part of this project.

Yearbook provided a distinctive creative opportunity as I collaborated directly with the principal designer at this customer-facing design studio/retail space within the home goods industry. Alongside managing a storefront, I undertook the task of crafting rebranding strategies and brand identities for various clients.

One noteworthy project was Quincy Street Distillery, a nascent whiskey distillery nestled in Riverside, Illinois. Situated in a historically significant town designed by the same landscape architect as Central Park, the challenge was to develop a mark that resonated with tradition. Drawing inspiration from Riverside’s iconic gas lanterns, I found the perfect solution.
